The Word "Salvation"

The Greek word sozo, translated "salvation" in Romans 9:10, is the same Greek word translated "healing" in the Gospels. In Mar. 5:23 Jairus said to Jesus, "My daughter is dying; come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed [sozo] and remain alive." To the woman who was bleeding, Jesus said: "Be bold, daughter, your faith has saved [sozo] you" (Matthew 9:22). When Jesus rose from the dead, He gained health for your spirit, soul, and body. You have been made healthy. Right now, by faith, confess Jesus as your healer just as you have accepted Him as Lord of your life. Make Jesus Lord of your body, according to Romans 10:10, which says, "For with the heart they believe to righteousness, and with the mouth they confess to salvation. Make this your confession: "According to what is recorded in the Word of God, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord. I confess Him now as my Healer. I make Him Lord of my body. I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Henceforth my body is saved, healed, made healthy, and delivered." Stand firm. Resist the temptation to be sick, just as you resist the temptation to sin. It may seem too simple, but it works because God's Word says, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
